The July edition of Bluegrass Concert Revival Series at The Capitol will feature young sensation Carson Peters and Iron Mountain Band with our good friends Lonesome Pine opening up the show.
You might have seen Carson Peters and Iron Mountain around at some local festivals such as: Bristol Rhythm and Roots, Dollywood’s Bluegrass and BBQ, Asheville’s Bluegrass First Class, Song of the Mountains, Carter Family Fold, or WDVX’s World Class Bluegrass to name a few. He has also has also been on national TV on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Little Big Shots with Steve Harvey, and played with Jimmy Fortune on the Tennessee State Senate floor. And they have already made their debut on the big country stage – the Grand Ole Opry – not once, but twice! First, Carson Peters made an individual appearance with Ricky Skaggs and the Kentucky Thunder. Secondly, the entire band was invited to play at the Ryman Auditorium with Ricky Skaggs and his band during the 2014 Bluegrass Nights series. Since then, they have become regulars for the Opry. Oh! And did we mention, Carson is only a teenager!
The band consists of Carson’s father, Jamie Peters, Eric Marshall and Ben Marshall of Mount Airy, North Carolina and Austin Tate of Marion, Virginia. Carson is truly blessed to have these fine Christian musicians in his band.
Swing by the Capitol Theatre and see this young sensation. “It’s all about using the talent God gave me to make people smile,” Carson Peters.
